I watched the video.
There are countless numbers of people on the Tacoma forum who have been running the Valvoline MaxLife ATF in the 2nd Gen Aisin A750E/A750F transmission for years.
I hear nothing but good things about it. No complaints about performance or failure.
I switched a 2006 Avalon - WS required - over to Walmarts Super Tech Dex VI about 50,000 miles ago. Shifts smooth as glass.
I will continue to run Toyota's WS in my wifes '14 4R and my '15 Tacoma for the foreseeable future, but only because the ebay price for Toyota WS is fairly close in price to WMs Dex-VI.
When WS was in its infancy, I could see the WS-only requirement, but as the man said, the formulation between 2002 WS and 2019 WS is not the same. I believe the same holds true for some of the WS-compatible fluids. If not, why are so many doing so well with it?
Use what you like. If it works for you, so be it.
