This is ridiculous. I would say 100% driver error again. When will people realize that if you accidentally hit the gas, the car will move and that is normal!! If you hit the wrong pedal, the car can't read your mind.

Morons, morons, morons. These people should not have a drivers license. They'll just jump on the "let's sue Toyota" bandwagon so they can retire early.

i smell BULLS**T some people are just freakin morons and they all should be rounded up and put on a freakin deserted island surrounded by killer sharks !!!!:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2: but thats just how i feel ! :biggrin2:

"It's going to depend on the owner" to start the process of evaluating the car, Lee said. Toyota is taking reported problems seriously and "investigating as many as we're aware of," he said.

Ok now here is my complaint... my husband has a 2009 Matrix that has steering issues and we have had it in the shop 5 times now and Toyota has had regional tech's come in and do "data collection" on the car yet we have heard nothing back from toyota in over two weeks (your case manager is supposed to call you back within 2 business days he hasn't we asked for his supervisor which is supposed to call you back within 1 business day, he hasn't) Now I know that this isn't the same complaint as the gas pedal issues but it's a valid safety complaint none the less and Toyota is getting to the point that their "Customer Service" has no respect for their Customers! Ok off my soap box now. : )

That camry isnt even one thats involved in the recall. They should really do some research before trying to blame the manufacturer.

I agree......total horsemanure....................:50cal: Makes you wonder how many cars from other makers have had similiar accidents (of course they won't make the 11o'clock news b/c they are NOT toyotas.........freeking media).

That sux. I'd call those regional tech's and ask them what they found. Hope Toyota would compensate your inconveniences.

Saying that their "customer service has no respect for their customers" is a little strong. Can you imagine how many calls they get per day compared to what they are used to? I am sure they are just not staffed and prepared for their current call volume.

Also, my understanding is that with pedal concerns the call back after the vehicle has been inspected can be up to 30 days, so my assumption is it would be the same for you. They probably have many different cases, with lots of different information to work through, so I am sure once they have something they will contact you.

You typically can not call the regional offices/techs directly.
