my 2005 v6 4wd 4runner is coming up on 30K, so I'm planning on changing my differential and transfer case fluids myself. Having read through all the threads here, it seems fairly straighforward, but I have some questions....
I want to change the fluids to Amsoil Synthetic. Is there a significant difference between Amsoils "Long Life Gear Lube" and the "Severe Gear" lube? Can these really go 100K miles?
Is there an Amsoil dealer used by forum members with a T4R Discount?
For my 2005 4Runner, looks like my needs are for:
Front Diff: 1.6 quarts
Reaf Diff: 3.2 quarts
Transfer: 1.5 quarts
so I'll need to buy 7 quarts....some of the threads I read seemed off from that.
Lastly, my local dealer is a real pain, but I'd like to buy new crush washers for all the drain/fill plugs; is there an online dealer that won't charge me $10 shipping for a half dozen washers?
