Gas comparison I have a 2017 TDORP and a 2017 F150 Ecoboost. I find it really sad that my F150 gets better gas mileage. The f150 weighs 1000lbs more, is taller, has 100+ more horsepower, is waaaay faster, tows more, trans runs cooler towing, and gets better mileage. Toyota should be ashamed...

Some mods just aren't worth the time and/or money. Some don't meet expectations. Some sound great but never gets used. What did you do that didn't work, didn't meet expectations, never get used, or are too expensive for their intended use???

It's strange. Buzzing down some washboard the front and the rear do pretty well; the front seems not to float and the rear doesn't want to swap out, it actually feels like it's getting traction on the washboard. But hit a bigger bump (square edge not a dip) slow or at speed and the front is ok...

So what you're effectively saying is the upper and lower spring plate is movable up or down the shock body? No preload?

I agree with you. maybe my point is unclear. An adjustable spring basically only changes ride height by preload. And if the spring is preloaded it would require more rebound damping which the majority of shocks do not provide.

Sorry, the comparison IS valid because damping is resistance of oscillation regardless of the weight involved. However, you corroborated my point that adjustment is unnecessary if the damping match the spring rate.

I come from the motorcycle world where every square in inch of space is exploited. So lets say you mount your spare on the rear bumper. What are people putting in the vacated spare tire space? Aux fuel? Water? Tools?
