This is a funny topic, as I have the same thing sitting in my basement, waiting for an install on my camper this Spring. I guess it never crossed my mind to install one in my 4R!?

I'd lean toward installing in the back of the cargo area on the side. Or might be cool if you could mount it on the inside of the liftgate, so you could use it when you're tailgating.(when the liftgate is in the "up" position.) Or perhaps, you want it mounted where you could reach it thru your lowered rear window, when the liftgate is shut? So many options......

Just be sure you mount it somewhere with a metal backing. I'd hate to see you rip this off with a big section of plastic with it, when you try to use it the first time.

This is obviously a gateway "mod", and the next logical step it to then do the Antman Rear Bumper Cupholder mod, that I completed last week too!

Either way.......I want to see photos when you have it mounted!

Someone needs to fabricate a 2" hitch receiver accessory and attach that to it, would be plenty sturdy and in a perfect spot to compliment the antman cupholder mod :)

In my defense OP never said he wanted original ideas!

Not that I had any clue that it actually existed :behindsofa:
