don't you worry about overheating the amp with the heater on? it blows right on it. i pulled the first section off and plugged the hole up.

you are right. 4th gen 10w03. hey good times did you have to remove the heater vent under the seat to fit your amp? i removed mine so the amp fits perfectly.

i have an 04 sport and i just installed a new HU and their is two antenna wires from the factory HU. i only plugged in the main wire to the new HU and i barely get any stations at all. i never got very good reception but n ow it is terrible. is their a converter or anything that i can get?

actually the new one has the 10 w3 in it. really big improvement.

i am going to get some pics of my install today. i put the amp under the passenger seat. i think someone was asking about which amp i had, it is the fosgate 551x 4 channel. the only downfall to mounting it under the seat is you have to remove part of the vent system which heats up the rear...

the only problem is it is only good in runners up to 2002. they don't have one for 03 and up.

just to let you know they want $599 for them. the good guys will sell them for $575. kind of a lot for such a simple box. i used to install so i think i am just going to copy the specs and build my own. maybe i will start a small deal and build a few of them to sell.

the thing is they want $599 for one. it does come with the new 10w03 or whatever the letters numbers are. that is a very nice sub. i installed for a long time so i think i will just copy the specs on the box and build my own for about $100.

it is removable. all panels in that truck are removable. you will most likely have to take out the seatbelt bolt. just follow along the edge carefully with a panel popper. it will come off. i am doing the same thing in my 04 sport so i will post pics when i get it done.
