just to let you know they want $599 for them. the good guys will sell them for $575. kind of a lot for such a simple box. i used to install so i think i am just going to copy the specs and build my own. maybe i will start a small deal and build a few of them to sell.

Wow did not expect that kind of price I figured 250 at most. I guess I will have to make my own. Were you planning on fiberglass too? I was just a little worried about working with fiberglass in the the truck. Guess I wont have much of a choice.

10w3....never heard a bad JL Stealthbox with this sub. ...But, where you gonna stick an amp? I think for that kind of money, I'm going to fit a custom box across the back seats with a 10" and an amp rack....it'll be a bit tight, but I think I can do a 450/4 to run the fronts/sub and still have enough volume for the sub with only about 8" depth....all packaged in a nice clean box.

that would be nice but the point of the stealthbox is to save cargo space. i don't want to lose my sounds when i travel and need the cargo space. i sleep in the back on camping trips and things. i live at the beach so i always have cargo. right now i have infiniti kappa 6 1/2 seperates all the way around and my amp is under the passenger seat.

I found this cheaper alternative from Q-Logic:

I'm not sure of the quality, but it sure is less expensive ($230) than the JL one

the only problem is it is only good in runners up to 2002. they don't have one for 03 and up.

Dr.bjm - I found it at crutchfield and they say it's good for the 96-2003. If it fits the 2k3, it should fit the 2k4...

I don't think it will fit, I spoke with Qlogic and they said they did not have one yet for the 4th gen. And looking at the tire-well the picture it looks like a 3rd generation. I am with Doc on this one, I need my cargo room.

I looked at this sub from Qlogic as well. I don't think it will fit into a 4th gen.... Are there any other options other than this stealth box from JL?

Not at the moment, I have been looking for a month or two. Qlogic did not even say they were making the new box. They said if the car was popular enough they would consider making one for the new generation.
