Noticed while I was under the new to me 4runner that one of the tank straps was rusted off. So I added that to my list of things to do and finally finished. I was not able to find any good videos as most of them they skipped parts or their skid plate was so rusted they missed were some bolts...

I just finished mine last week and did a video. All the other ones I watched seemed to have skid plates that were totally gone so i couldn't see where the bolts were.

I ended up being short on fluid when I checked it, because I was stupid and curious and decided to check the level at the fill port when the car was cold and off. Ended up burning myself on the exhaust by rerouting the line from the hood to the fill port when I noticed I let too much out. :doh:

Well...I decided to flush the transmission not knowing if it was ever done from any of the past owners. It definitely was not. Fluid was black and needed to be changed. I have not had any issues shifting before so I know there is no damage done, and she is running smooth as ever. Have you all...

I just replaced mine and cleaned the drains, was not able to see the ends of the drains, even removed a bunch of trim and bits and couldn't see it. I think it terminates inside the frame. https://youtu.be/RXBhswfl4Dw

If you are interested I did a video on my 4runner on replacing the glass and removing the plastic trims...which broke very easily. I am going to see if I can 3d print some new ones, 40 bucks is way too much for a new set of just one when you have both an inner and outer piece...

I just finished fixing my sunroof, it was a lot easier than I thought to get it out, only 4 screws. I hate that we can not just replace the gasket, but I was able to grab a replacement glass/gasket set at the junkyard. https://youtu.be/RXBhswfl4Dw

975 for the timing belt?? That is the lowest I have seen for just a timing belt replacement, even at a Toyota dealer. I might have to go there lol

I am wanting to do this job myself too, but just for starters I have seen some people just do the first part of this guide to get access to see the belt in order to check its condition, it looks quite easy for a good peace of mind for anyone that just bough their 4runner without any service records

This is something I need to do too. I just got my 4runner and I can roll away with the parking break on...so that needs to be tightened. I will make a youtube video of it at some point and post it here
