I'm putting the Tundra 5100 shocks on my 4runner. I was going to order the Energy Suspension 9.8108R bushings until I read the Q&A at the bottom and a guy said they didn't work on his 4runner. Is he mistaken and this is in fact what I need to order...
Extremly rough ride - looking for some input on a remedy (shock & spring discussion)
As you see in my signature, in the rear I'm running OME 2906 / 60027 w/1.5" spacers. I don't want to talk about how I arrived at this combo, just solutions.
I've had enough of the super stiff rear end. I'm...
It isnt sitting low so much as thats a body lift gap. Drilling new holes is a good idea, ill probably look into that when i get time. Thanks :biggrin2:
Oh and put everything on hand tight until you have the bumper sitting like you want. Then tighten a bolt, check it, tighten one check it, etc etc. Then tighten everything one last time.
Good luck on your install! :thumb:
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Honestly it was pretty straight forward:
-squared up the ends of the frame
-put the mounts on with bolts to figure out where to drill the 1/2" holes, drilled with mounts on
-had LOTS of extra parts lol
So I've popped those off and it looks like the Tacoma frame end in the ARB directions except mine has a lip protruding around the edge. I'm thinking I just need to grind those down and the rest of the install will be like a Taco install.
Hey guys,
I just want to make sure this is going to work before I get too far off in to this. My 4runner was manufactured 12/95 so it's an earlier 3rd gen. I popped the bumper preparing to install the ARB bamf I bought from SURF RUNNER and this is what I found. It just doesn't look like what...
Greg is probably the only person on here I would paypal $700 to. Nice guy, was easy to meet up with. Will buy from again without hesitation.

I did not know about this website, seems like a good one to check from time to time.
The only problem is SURF RUNNER lives too close and will probably scoop up the good deals before I ever see them lol :dammit:
I did find a guy selling an aftermarket hood w/ scoop new in the box for $95...
I'm looking to replace my stockers with something that has around -10 to -12 backspace to get that wider "bulldog" stance. From what I have read, this should put them almost even with my Limited flares.
I'm just curious what wheels other members have bought. I'll probably cruise over to...
Hard to say, I've only had them a week. They hum a little going down the road and I mean a little; but nothing that keeps you from listening to the radio or having a conversation.
