I think its is right under the manifold. Sounds like it is coming from right in front of the pedals. I am still learning about all this, but I think it is just rusted where it connects to the manifold before the cat. But I am not to sure, and its hard to see.

I have the same problem with my 85runner. A tap with the hammer usualy does it, but it scares the heck out of me when I am deep in the desert with no one around for 60 or 70 miles. I have an automatic and I have to neutral start switch bypassed so it will start in gear. could that be contributing?

Looks Nice! No I was mistaken I do have 31" on there. they are the BFG all-terain ta so I guess I will go with 4.56 then :-) I am still real new to all of this so I am trying to find my feet.

I have 33" tires now with the stock ratio I was thinking of a 2" to 3" lift would 4.88 gears do the trick? So I guess I would be looking for leaf springs that give 2 or 3 inches of lift.
