After some PB blaster and a little wait the pulley slid right off. Cut the belt off instead of screwing around trying to compress the tensioner. Made a tool to compress the tensioner and the new one went on really easy. Unbelievable in what good shape the old timing belt is. Now I wish I...

Well I got the bolt out. Just threw caution to the wind and used 3' cheater bar along with my 1/2 inch breaker bar. Yea. Now I am trying to take the pulley off:ybrick:

How in the world do you break the bolt loose? I am going crazy. I made a tool to hold the pulley but cant break the bolt loose. Torn apart and stuck.

Any better explanations out there. I do not want to have to remove the whole housing to remove just then lens. There are four metal clips but I cant figure out how to separate the lens from the housing.:confused:

2001 4runner. Has anyone tried to separate the headlight lens from the housing. After 13 years of constant dirt roads is has considerable dust inside and I would like to clean without purchasing new units. Yes I am cheep but thought I would give it a try.

Thanks. I found out by trying. Mine only has one adjuster on the bottom for up and down and one on the top for right and left. This probably isn't in the book but what I did was tape a pencil to the face of the lens pointed out, lined it up with a dot on a board and adjusted the two the same...

2001 runner. I see the adjustment screws on the adjacent corners of the holder but not sure which to adjust to raise and lower the beam. Anyone done it?

How about getting another key cut without the chip and putting the one with the chip under the dash.:tape:

Got a full size radio and meter to fit under the radio. Had to move some stuff but looks like it belongs there. Excuse the tie wraps holding the meter on. That was just temporary till I mounted it in the opening.

Not to put a damper on them but don't they cause a lot of reflection from the hood?

Mine lifts are shot also. Just looked at Rock Auto and saw them for $20 apiece. Don't know if they come with the sleeve.
