Headlights

2001 4runner. Has anyone tried to separate the headlight lens from the housing. After 13 years of constant dirt roads is has considerable dust inside and I would like to clean without purchasing new units. Yes I am cheep but thought I would give it a try.

Bake 'em!

Any better explanations out there. I do not want to have to remove the whole housing to remove just then lens. There are four metal clips but I cant figure out how to separate the lens from the housing.

The headlights are glued/sealed together. You have to remove the housing to bake them to open them. Some people use a heat gun but you would still have to remove the headlight to get around all the edges to open it.
