I read that the new 2009 4R are going to have a better use for that flip up storage are next to the driver (currently houses the plug in power cig lighter). I bought a Black and Decker power adapter that has a USB port and reg house plug adapter. i've been trying to figure out how I can get...
Yes...the sterring controls do work...you also can scroll through your IPOD using the controls on the face of the head unit...though is takes some getting used to...not as easy as scrolling though songs using the IPOD...but it is still MUCH better than the stock head unit that comes in a...
Yep...cable goes from back of the Radio to IPOD...also keeps the IPOD charged. Radio reception is the same as the 4runner original radio....though I listen to XM radio 99% of the time. One of the best Mod's I've done to my 4runner.
Got mine off ebay for less than 50 bucks...the IPOD cable connector cost more than the radio...go figure...but everthing was an easy install and sounds great. Easy swap out and swap in.

Thanks for your feed back.

I just got my new PIAA 520 ATP lights and was curious to know what was the best way to get power? I'd like these to be connected so that the lights have power when the truck is turned on only.
thanks
Long time surfer of this site...but finally registered and ready to seriously consider some of the mod's I have been reading about. First is adding some aux lights to the front of my '08 Sport V8. I want to get a pair of PIAA 520 ATP lights...and mount them with the floating mounts under the...
