Scion Head Unit?

I'm looking at a 09 Scion head unit with ipod connectivity (part number PT546-00080), anyone know if there will be any issues with installing and using ipod cable?

Got mine off ebay for less than 50 bucks...the IPOD cable connector cost more than the radio...go figure...but everthing was an easy install and sounds great. Easy swap out and swap in.

Does the cable connect to the back of the scion radio, and then go directly to your ipod?

How is your radio reception with the scion unit? Did you plug in both antenna connections?

Yep...cable goes from back of the Radio to IPOD...also keeps the IPOD charged. Radio reception is the same as the 4runner original radio....though I listen to XM radio 99% of the time. One of the best Mod's I've done to my 4runner.

T1808 for the radio and sc12235 for the ipod cable from Ebay.

do the steering wheel controls still work on the scion HU's?

Yes...the sterring controls do work...you also can scroll through your IPOD using the controls on the face of the head unit...though is takes some getting used to...not as easy as scrolling though songs using the IPOD...but it is still MUCH better than the stock head unit that comes in a 4runner. Sounds fantastic too...
