depending on how nice your dealership is you can ask them to throw one in for free or at a low cost. that is how i got a second set and key fob.

I have a 2006 Toyota 4runner and my battery was drained. After it was rebooted I got the "No DVD. please insert map dvd" but the only problem is that the map dvd is inserted. I've attached photos of the dvd to this thread. tried to disconnect the battery for 5 mins and then reconnect but still...

i think elton was saying you can just unplug the antenna from the radio so it isn't triggered anymore. i'll be hopefully doing my antenna repair/swap this weekend. you can find the oem antenna for cheap now

it had a solid run and the light went out (after the tap back to life went out as well) before i got the 4runner so it was something i was determined to fix in some manner.

from the research i've found. the illumination is a bulb that can be soldered back once the replacement is found (not a general carry in most stores it seems). the bulb is part of the problem as the CD changer works sometimes. Other times it works then if i turn off the car and restart it...

I've used Meguir's wipes as well for a quick job. With enough elbow and finger work, I've gotten out pen marks that have been on the seats for years.
