"No DVD" after battery died and was boosted

I have a 2006 Toyota 4runner and my battery was drained. After it was rebooted I got the "No DVD. please insert map dvd" but the only problem is that the map dvd is inserted. I've attached photos of the dvd to this thread.

tried to disconnect the battery for 5 mins and then reconnect but still get the same message.

no audio or other buttons work. If i press "Map" i just get a beep.

check for a reset button on the unit, or i would unplug a radio fuse, then turn the key to acc and hold one of the radio button to discharge any electricity that still there, then turn key off, put the fuse back in and it should work, check under the hood for the fuse or next to the knee for the inside fuse box.

i tried the fuse under the hood and by the knee and nothing worked.

pulled the fuse, put key in acc, held down menu (and tried other buttons) for two mins, put fuse back in and turned on and nothing happened. I heard the cd magazine working but nothing. i took out and put back in the dvd and nothing changed.

Digging this one up. Just happened to me after replacing a dead battery. How do I fix it? I currently have the 20a radio 1 fuse removed and waiting a few mins.

No combination of fuse OR battery pulling worked for me. I ended up just holding the DVD disc into the slot and key cycling until it finally stopped trying to eject it and it loaded. Problem solved! Although the fix doesn't make sense I'm not complaining.
