Used motor I found a used motor in Denver that my buddies friend has for sale it has 150k on it but he swears it was great when he pulled it out of his wrecked truck he said he will take 550 dollars for it and give me a 30 day warranty to swap it and check it out. That sounds like a good option...

Re; oil leak Ok so I am in grand junction colo, I used two tubes of black silicone and yes also on the half moon rubber seal, I have not replaced the distributer o ring and I have not checked the big bolt on the oil pump will do that in a few, wher do you get uv die? :Cry:

Leak from gear You were right it was. Leaking from a not so tight head bolt under the cam gear, of coarse I did not realize this until I had it all torn apart and that was the last bolt I turned, so that doesnt leak now, but now I am leaking from the front seal, should have replaced it, soon...

Re: timing cover leak I just realized I don't think I need to pull the head I can just pull timing cover and reveal it. Because the head gasket stops short of the timing cover, so to fix my oil leak at the top edge of the timing cover I should be able to do this all from the timing cover...
