I decided to get touchup paint and just do that for now. The 4 runner is older and I am going to keep until it doesn't drive anymore so I am not really feeling the need to drop 600.00 until necessary. I will see if it gets worse. Thanks for the responses.

I took it to a collision shop and they can repaint the area that is messed up vs painting the whole hood and getting into a big project. They would strip the existing clear coat off the hood, put on a new clear coat, sand and repaint the area that is messed up. He did mention fixing it myself...

I agree. The problem is where the metal is showing that whole area is bubbling up and is already ruined. I am in Nashville TN and don't have a direct contact to nor can I touch it up myself. I can take it to a body shop and see what they say.

I am going to run it through insurance and get the hood repainted. I have a deductible of 500.00. There's no way to know exactly what happened. Thanks for all the replies... Fly I called corporate and they won't do anything as there are no paint recalls...Also, the dealership won't do anything...

I have the same problem on my sr5. I got a new 2014. I took pics and they said it was normal and did nothing. It only doesn't when it is cold outside. Especially after washing the vehicle. I have had no problems.

I have not noticed it. I have a 2014 SR5. I did have a Dodge Durango before the 4 runner and it blew all over the place.

There is a whistling that comes from the side mirrors. Both of mine do it.
