Can anyone tell me how much to torque the knock sensor on a 95 4runner V6? I've searched and one post said 33ft\lbs and another one said 58 in\lbs. That's quite a swing and I'd like to narrow it down a bit. Thanks.

Quick question. I am putting in a new wire for the knock sensor on my 95 4rnr, V6, auto in hopes to fix my code 52 after a HG job. Its the shielded wire from the short harness to the ECM that I'm replacing. My question is, should I ground the shielding at the ECM side too or just with the plug...

Just my $0.02 so take it for what its worth... if you plan on buying a 3VZE AND plan on having it for a while... then just PLAN on doing head gaskets at some point.

Ive been doing a little more reading and and maybe I should ask... does a code 52 mean "hey, theres something wrong with your knock sensor circuit" or does it mean "hey dumbass, youve got a knock in your engine"?

OK... I have a 95 4Runner V6 auto. I did the HG's about 6 months ago, it took me about 5 months to do it with only being able to work 1-3 hours a week. I followed the FSRM as close to the letter as I feel I possibly could, searched and read this forum for pointers to avoid common problems...

Does anyone know the sizes of the freeze plugs that go in the cylinder heads? I can't seem to get a straight answer. Also, is there a rubber expansion plug to fit the smallest one? And, if so would a rubber one survive back there right next to the exaust crossover? Thanks.
