knock sensor rewire ???

Quick question. I am putting in a new wire for the knock sensor on my 95 4rnr, V6, auto in hopes to fix my code 52 after a HG job. Its the shielded wire from the short harness to the ECM that I'm replacing. My question is, should I ground the shielding at the ECM side too or just with the plug on the KS side? Thanks.

I can't recall if its supposed to be, bid it wouldn't hurt to do it.

Ground the shield on one end only. Grounding on both allows current to flow which can affect the signal
