i have steering wheel wobble on my 3rd gen and i just replaced the worn steering rack bushes thinking it was them but the steering wheel is still wobbling usually when braking, the brake discs look true to me, i found play in the drivers side lower balljoint so im thinking this may be the cause...

my truck is an import, i live in the uk and this is a 'surf' , my big square hole looks bigger than the console you guys have on your 4runners, the person that did this should be shot.

i went to change the cheap jvc head unit in my surf for my good alpine head unit, i removed the wee tray and the head unit and discovered a great big square hole with no support for fitting a head unit. what do i need to buy to fit a single din head unit ?

as the discs are easiest to check ill see if they are warped and check how true they run. what bushes will need checked on the steering rack ?

my steering wheel shakes/ judders when braking at high speeds or braking heavy, there is nothing from the brake pedal it is fine. is it possible to be a disc or pad problem or more likely a suspension bush or something, there is no noises at all ie knocking, grinding or clunking cheers
