    air con problems

My air conditioning recently went out, and since southern California is still blazing hot I could use some relief. I had been noticing a grumble when using the air conditioner for quite a while. Sometimes this growl could be heard even when not using the air conditioning, but it was much more...

    rattling noise

My suspension rattles like nobody's business when I go over little bumps or potholes. It all started last year when I had my brakes done at Les Schwab. They replaced the rotors and everything. Shortly after that my '92 4runner starting shimmying while cruising and braking. And then it...

    soft clutch pedal

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the fluid level several times, and it is good. I was changing my transmission fluid so I was under there and I didn't notice the slave cylinder leaking at all. Does this problem sound like a worn clutch, or would bleeding the system fix the problem that I...

    soft clutch pedal

Is it possible to adjust the clutch pedal? I have a 5 speed '92 4runner. In order to disengage the clutch, you have to push the pedal ALL the way to the floor. There is less than an inch before the clutch begins to engage. Is this because my clutch is old and on its way out, or maybe the...

    recall question

I took my '92 4runner in to the Toyota dealership a couple of days ago and had the Steering Relay Rod replaced as part of the recall. However, I'm not sure that they did it right. Before, while turning tightly, sometimes the truck would make a really loud high-pitched...

How bad would be 31x10.5 for the mileage

Those are the tires that I have, and I get 17 if I'm not trying to conserve gas. I was coming back from Sacramento today and I wasn't worrying about making good time. Driving abou 60 and "drafting" a little bit behind trucks, I got over 20. I have a '92, 3.0, and 5 speed.

    Windows won't roll down

I checked the lock button, but I can't roll them down from the driver's controls either. I'll have to check all the fuses, but the fuse diagram didn't have one listed for windows. I also don't understand how all three motors could have gone out at the same time. Any other thoughts?

    Windows won't roll down

It started raining here not too long ago, and I just found out today that my power windows won't roll down. (I have a '92 with power windows and power locks. The locks still work fine.) The driver's window does roll down, but none of the other 3 will. During the summer all the windows rolled...

    locking hubs?

That's interesting. I didn't realize they were always locked. It seems like that would equate to a lot more wear and tear. Thanks for the reply.

    locking hubs?

Thanks. Yeah, I took off the lug cover, and it didn't have a manual hub. So I'm guessing that when I put the truck in 4low or 4high it automatically locks up the front?

    timing belt?

I just bought my '92 4runner. It has 175k miles on the chassis and 90k on the factory recalled engine. After how many miles do you need to change the timing belt, and how much does it cost. This truck runs really nice, and I want to keep it in top condition. But at the same time I don't have...

    locking hubs?

I just bought a '92 4runner. It is a pretty sweet ride, and I really like it. I have a few questions since I'm new to the Toyota and four wheel drive scene. I have aftermarket Eagle rims. They have the lug covers on them. It is my understanding that you have to lock the hubs manually? This...
