I was actually talking about the Focal because that is the one I saw. However, in a Mens Journal article of the best beer bars in America I also read about Von Trapp.

Just bottled my first homebrew, it's a brown ale /winter warmer hybrid. Excited to see how it turned out!

I see in your photo you bottled some of Your brew into growlers... BE CAREFUL... growlers are designed to hold beer that has already been carbonated, not to be used to carbonate the beer in!
When carbonating beer, the Co2 builds up in the head space and then is slowly equalized and forced into solution over time. The presssure is greater than what growlers are designed for.
You may be fine, but you may have growler bombs!
Did you fill the growlers first or last? After you added your corn sugar prior to bottling did you stir the beer a few times during your bottling session?
I ask because the corn sugar usually doesn't stay mixed well, so you can get uneven distribution if you are not mixing a few times during bottling. Giving you some brews with WAY too much sugar resulting in higher carbonation levels and gushers or bottle bombs. And then others that are flat.

I am aware of the growler bomb danger, I only had 1 case of bottles so this was a 1 time deal, but I did my research and have been keeping an eye on them to make sure that they are ok. I did stir the priming mix several times while bottling, definitely a good question. I told my gf that we had to be mindful of that, so she helped me stir while I was bottling. Thanks for looking out though

Cool, glad to hear you were aware and did things to make it work.
I had a buddy get a pretty bad injury from carbing in a growler. He went to open it and it exploded in his hand leaving him with a trip to the hospital, a nice bill and 20 stitches!
Just to be extra safe use a towel or glove when opening them. Not trying to tell
You what to do or be overbearing- just saw a bad injury and don't want that to happen to you or anyone else.
Let us know how the home brew turns out man!

This is the homebrew I've got on tap at the moment:
-NEXSW (northeast IPA X southwest IPA hybrid)
-Bourbon Barrel aged Belgian strong ale aged on muscadine wine grapes and figs
-Nitro Milk Chocolate Stout
-Saison aged in absynthe soaked Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc barrels
-Apple wine aged on golden raisins and dates
-Double IPA
-APA
-Rye whiskey barrel aged Barleywine
-Belgian tripel
I've been sipping on all of those, chugging a few here and there...
I've also just bottled a Pinot Gris, a Cabernet Sauvignon blanc rose that I slightly carbonated, Italian Nebbiolo and a Cabernet/Malbec/Tempranillo hybrid aged in French oak.
I had a busy wine making season. Can't wait for them to mature!
Been drinking a lot of stag Jr. and Auchentoshen three wood lately as far as whiskey goes.

Very nice list, I can't wait to have a variety like that. I also got myself a wine making kit and am looking forward to learning to make it as well. 1 step at a time though
