So if Trump can get out foxed by a bunch of yokels in Colorado, how's he going to deal with the Chinese and make America great again?

Maybe the Colorado Republican Party should be negotiating trade deals with the Chinese?

Stop being idiots. This wasn't a matter of Trump getting "out foxed". There were no negotiations. You have no point and your candidates are no better.

If you have any point at all it's that you clearly can't distinguish the difference between deal negotiations and changes to state party rules.

Well, you got me there.

They "slipped in" these rule changes a year ago. How could have Trump possibly been expected to adapt?

Fortunately, everything else he'll need to deal with as prez won't be such a moving target.

Colorado GOP Leader to Disgruntled Trump Supporter: Go Ahead and Burn the Party Down - The Gateway Pundit

Quote from Colorado GOP head Steve House:

“...I think people are upset right now because they either don’t like the process or don’t understand it. I am one of the people who doesn’t like it. It’s complicated and many don’t understand why we don’t just have a national primary across all 50 states in about June, pick the winner and go after the democrats in the general election. There are complications to that as well but it comes down to states rights on how we pick candidate. We should have a presidential primary here but the legislature eliminated it in 2002 because it costs to much and that is a limited government move. Up until this year no one cared. We will put a presidential primary back into our law before this year is over.

Lastly, the one thing I do not get from the Trump supporters who are mad at me right now is why so many believe he isn’t going to win. I think Mr. Trump has woken America up and we should be thankful for that. But why do you think he isn’t going to win. He has a big lead, the easiest path to the nomination, a lead in critical states like NY and California etc. …”

Mr. House is right. Trump is just pointing out the problem. We’ve (speaking as a “conservative") “adapted” when MCain was “chosen” as our candidate…and lost. We’ve "adapted” when Romney was “chosen”
for our candidate…and lost. Now we are supposed to “adapt” when we find out that Colorado “slipped in” changes in 2002 that gives the GOP honchos in power, not the people of Colorado, the right to assign the Colorado delegate votes. IMO, “adapting” is one of the problems with the GOPe. Just maybe that’s the attraction with Trump. he doesn’t “adapt.” Even if he doesn’t get the nomination, he’s managed to raise questions about the election process. Rightfully so, again…IMO.

Agreed.

Nomination and general election rules originated from a time when everyone got around on horse back. Changes have been made over time but it is certainly possible in the 21st century to remove the delegate middle man and the electoral college system so the voter has a more direct influence on who is elected.

That being said, Trump does not get to play the election fraud victim.

Under the current GOP rules, he has received 48% of the delegates with only 37% of the votes. When he took 100% of the Florida republican delegates with only 45% of the vote, the other candidates weren't screaming election fraud.

If he wants to help change the way a president is elected, great! But for now he needs to "nut up buttercup" and follow the rules as they exist today.

But then again, Hilary cannot differentiate between spam mail from Walmart and classified information. I feel good about national security with her in charge. Just ask Ambassador Stevens.

Don't forget, we also get her hubby who did such good things with Somalia...just ask Delta snipers Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart.

I get good vibes. Don't you? Screw Trump...we get 2 for price of 1 with the Clintons!

I "get" some of you guys not liking Trump. I don't like him either. But please give me a reason, any reason, to vote for someone else? Now, before you do, don't give me a reason to not vote for Trump. I know all those. Give me a reason to vote for Cruz, Sanders, Clinton, etc. The way I see it:

Trump - Loose cannon. As I have said before, he will either be the best president we ever had or be the worst in spectacular fashion. Right now he has a few things going for him: He is beholden to no one or no special interests because of money and 2) He is not a politician and does not think like a politician. He is a businessman plain and simple. The bad thing is we don't really know what he will do. It's my though that all the crap he has been throwing against the metaphorical wall (building a wall, killing Muslims, etc) is nothing but rhetoric to see what sticks and also to fire the opening salvo for future negotiations.

Cruz - Weak. He is ultra conservative and afraid of his own shadow. IMO he would be a lame duck president in his first year and forget wielding any power over congress or anyone else for that matter.

Sanders - oh man. I don't think we have enough people left in the country that have jobs and pay taxes to do what he wants done. In principle he sounds like he wants to help people and I believe him. In reality it'll never work because of the cost. That's why all the college kids are gaga over him and most older people know better.

Clinton - Makes Bush look like a genius. She simply is not very smart and cannot lead. She can't think on her feet and if elected will not be able to be sworn in without an aide beside her telling her exactly what to do. She also brings in her husband Bill. Those two have too much political baggage to be anything but dysfunctional leaders.

So that's my opinion. Notice I didn't call anyone names, I just stated my observations and opinions. Now, every single one of them have done something good but IMO their bad outweighs anything positive they bring to the table. So who? It's easy to talk crap about a candidate but hard to find anything positive about any of our choices this year.

Trump supporter here! I Like a candate that speakes out with some balls. Obama never had a pair, he just let the nation cower to radical Islam, and the world. Obama supports and invokes racial tension, has no respect for the Constution, except when he can advance liberal agenda for party votes. He allowed an already failing healthcare system be enacted. His administration is behind murdered Americans by the hands of Drug lords, and Terrorists. He made us weak and a joke.

Hillary, what a Socalist ***** that's put herself above the law. Also behind murded Americans, she couldn't care less. She's about taking our guns. She has track record if lying, not following he law and doing whatever she wants. She is criminal.

Bernie, everthing is free idiot. Us working class are ****ed under his plans.

Ted, just anothet untrustworthy Washington Politician. Full of empty words. No intent of delivering anything except more laws srewing Americans and protecting his kind in Politics.

I'll take my chances for now with Trump, he's bringing up the issus we talk about at work, play and at home. The conerns of America has with the current state of America, and the dangeroius path this Adinistration had taken us.

Personally, out of those choices I lean towards Sanders the most. From my view he seems to have the best temperament and intelligence for the job. While I don't buy in nor agree fully with all of his socialist thoughts, I also feel like there are parts that can and are needed. One being a socialized and working healthcare program for all. There's just no reason for an American to go without basic healthcare. Free college? No. How about we fix K-12 first.

Why I also feel he would be the best choice out of the options is that even though I don't like how "left" he is in so many of his thoughts and views, I feel that with a GOP controlled House and Senate, that it will help keep him more moderate.

Yeah, he's got balls but no brains. If this joker was elected you'd be longing for the good old days of Obama. The upside is he'll go down as the biggest loser in a presidential election which will effectively demonstrate that the people of the U.S. are smarter than the employees he's accustomed to bullying.

The positive I will raise about the other 3 over Trump is that I believe they are genuinely good, family people at heart. Trump is a mean spirited, miserable, dangerous, pig of a person who is divorced from any sense of the real lives led by most common people where as the others are not (or aren't nearly as much).

Cruz
Clinton
Sanders

In that order for me. The other isn't even a consideration.

I hate to break it to you all, but, Trump is a Democrat. He will also tell you exactly what you want to hear much more so than a seasoned politician. He just wants to win........period. At any cost.

Well, I can't say with total certainty, but I sense she is. A colleague and I had the pleasure of meeting her and talking to her for a few minutes during a down moment in our corporate headquarters in late 2014-ish. The Clinton Foundation used our auditorium facilities in midtown Manhattan for their events fairly regularly and I oversaw the AV team at that time. It was about 8pm, the event was way over, everyone had left and it was just her and a really big dude milling around on the auditorium level elevator bay as they were heading out. She engaged us in a few minutes of conversation about MY company (I work for a major media firm) and was taking the time to tell us things about our company and its leaders she worked with over the years and went on to ask us about our careers.......and this was when nobody was around and she could have simply just kept to herself and gone home. Very pleasant and engaging woman who was nice enough and interested enough to talk to two total strangers.

I had met Bill a couple of times prior but never her.

So yeah.....I'm guessing she's a good person at heart. The rest about her......well, there's a lot I don't like that's transpired and I wouldn't vote for her but if it's her vs that other person then it's obvious for me.

I'm glad you are honest why you support Hillary...wish the day had turned out different and you'd met a better politician to get the warm fuzzies from. I guess it could have been worse...you could have met someone really bad...was Putin visiting New York that day?

Apparently you didn't read further up.

Had Putin over for Thanksgiving. Makes a great bread pudding.
