Hey, everyone. Added a new member to the family yesterday. Trying to keep up with PitBullRescuer. Found an '01 Limited, 157k. Is this that Thundercloud color? Originally a TX truck. It's a buttload cleaner than my '96 underneath. I might even be able to turn some of the bolts without breaking or cutting them. This one's for the wife so it's staying stock. It's in great shape, couple of dings and scratches on the body (it was a company highway truck). Mechanically very sound. Just needs normal love. Plugs, wires, etc. More importantly no frame rot. Now we can get rid of the money pit that is her Acura RL and my '96 can stay garaged until I fix it's broken hip. Gonna take the new one to CO next week and hook the Scanguage up to it. Don't know how I feel about the Center Diff Lock but I guess I'll find out. Was talking to a good friend in CO last night and something we both noticed was these '01's seem to have a bit more pep than the earlier 3rd gens. My '96 is well tuned, but this '01 has a noticeable difference in acceleration. He's experienced the same thing. Did Toyota do any subtle changes in there between years or are we crazy?
