I bought a 02 limited a month or so ago. my heater control seems like there is something wrong. I needed the defrost this weekend and the front def wouldn't light up after hitting the ac on and off the switch lite up and I got front def. now the auto wont light up and sometimes I cant switch the inside air to outside air and the front def wont switch on again. anybody have problems with the limited heater controller? is there a sequence to turn the front defrost on? I am thinking I got a bad controller thanks for any help. I did search and didn't come up with anything but I am old and suck at searching.

Notorious problem with the Digital climate control. Some companies fix them at a premium price. (DAT) Some guys on Ebay are fixing them too for less money although you'll be without your controller for a bit. I figured out the problem with them but you need some good soldering skills along with the equipment to do it. Not that easy to do or to even describe the problem and it's not just just cold solder joints as whats been suggested here a few times.
