02 Tundra Rims on my 97 4runner?

I am taking a look at this same set of rims in my town for 100.00 for the set.

For the life of my i cant find a picture of these rims on a runner. Anyone seen this before and is it worth 100.00? They will probably just sit in my garage until some powder coating or paint but i wanna have a visualization and i dont have one! Any thoughts guys?

I have seen those rims on a 4runner and they did not look good(I am impartial to the 17" split 5 spoke design.)

yeah, thats why i am concerned that i cant find any pictures. One would assume if there are no pictures its probably because it looks terrible. Was there any other rims that came OEM on the Tundra in 02 or is this the common set?

I used to have those rims back in February 09. I sold them for 02 limited rims and now I'm on the Tundra 17's.


The ones you listed were a great upgrade from the ugly 3 spoke on the 4Runner, but I got rid of them quick for those limited rims. Those Tundra 17's outweighed all in my book.

Thanks, doesn't look so bad after all. It would only be a temporary change to replace these cheap ass 15" rims that came with the T4R.

yeah those stock rims are uuugggllllyyy, make me want to puke a little, my fav's
from the stock Toyota line up are the fj trd rims and the ones posted here

like those? to be honest not really but i'd have to seem them on your ride, look a little tooo ricer or hummer for me, you know what i'm saying like typical red neck crap, but like i said i'd have to see them on your ride, as the rims are more like the icing on the cake if you will, they can either set the whole look off or kill it dead, it all depends on the total package.


(please note we are all a little red neck here, we drive 4x4's and like to shoot sh*t so don't take that as a derogatory slander or anything.)

take care if you buy the rims you need the same size in tires, i have the sr5 and for me that design looks better than a limited 5bars, and in that pics you can see that cause loks better the 4runner with the rims not atached the tundra rims looks like a xterra:S, but are better than 15 ones... dont you think?

16 or 17" rims always going to be better than 15'' and looks nicer and better too, tundra rims are ok, but the 4 runner has more special rims, share the pics when you change them ,

Anyone have a lead as to where i can find the right lug's for that 5 star tundra rim? I have no idea where to begin and the tire shops want to charge me a ton of money for them.

They are the same lugs as stock. Don't let them bullshit you.
