03-05 use ebay Halo Projector Headlights for HID??

Looking for any experience or advice on this.

I've got an 05 so I don't have the projector headlights but am interested in HID. I've read about the 06 projector retrofit + garnish + morimotos which sounds like one option (somewhat involved and leaves gaps in front though).

What about using the aftermarket halo projector headlght assembly's which are available on ebay and other sources such as

Some are even available w/ HID components (although they seem to include too high kelvin rating blue/purple color bulbs)

Now I do find the styling a bit ricey but I was thinking of opening it up and killing some of those LED's to tone down the whole rice harvest festival thing going on in there.

Any views on the quality of the projector? Could a reasonable quality (say xenon depot or something) HID kit installed directly into these projectors be worthwhile? Would it also take morimoto's in there to have a good effect? Would they fit?

I understand that people usually say ebay projectors are crap but anyone actually work with something like this?

I'm concerned about doing the whole 06 retrofit route and still ending up with the gaps in front, this is a direct fit into the 03-05 opening.

And yes I've done searches here and on various HID sites and don't exactly see this covered.

Myself, I wouldn't use them.
I bet the projectors in those are junk, and I think I remember there being a thread on here where someone bought those and all the LEDs burned out quickly

If you can find the 06+ I would go that route, or retrofit true HID projectors into your current housings. I've seen pics of a few 06 conversions on here, and honestly on the ones I've seen. I don't even notice the gap, it looks like it's supposed to be that way. That's the route I'm going to go, is find me some 06 projectors.

I just installed a Philips HID 4300 kit from Xenon Depot in my 2003 Limited. I checked into the exact projectors that you are looking at. Xenon Depot sells them, but told me not to buy them. They said that they are not good quality and recommended just sticking with my factory reflectors. Since they sell them, I took that as an honest opinion.

My Philips HID kit works awesomely in my reflector set up. The light is beautiful and very, very bright. I do not have the projector style cut off, but I am extremely happy with the results. I plan to post pics in the next few days.

Rockwall - look forward to those pics. Any issues with light cutoff and oncoming cars with the HID's in the reflectors?

I see lots of different views on putting the HID's in the reflectors. Some say don't bother, some say its great.

look in front of the headlights when the hid is on, u will see glare, and its blinding, i regret using hids in halogen projectors also, i mean the light was great, but after i swaped to true hid projectors , its amazing how much more light there is, i was drivin around and my hids spread was better than a 350z i was comparing with stock hids. i lighted up all 4 lanes from the right, his only lighted up about 2.5 from the 3rd lane, i saw my cutoff cut thru his lights.

I was looking at the same pair. i found a seller on ebay that distributes them except they include and HID conversion kit with it. I'll send you the link when i find them again.

Thanks. I've seen those and they look tempting. Would want more like 4300k then 6000k and I'm really curious about the quality... Anyone tried them?
