03 factory car alarm issue

I know it was posted here years back when I first bought my 4runner but I've been gone serving the country and now that I'm back I can't seem to find the thread anymore.

Well my question is...Does anyone remember how to disarm the fatory car alarm so that you can use it for the keyless entry only. The damn alarm is so sensitive the smallest vibrations keep triggering it.

Upon further review, that first link probably won't help. this link mentions adjusting the alarm's GBS sensitivity:

There used to be a thread on how to turn the alram off by doing a pattern with the ingition starter like you would when resetting the maintainance light. The sensitivity setting would be a plan b at this point. But thank you for all of your help so far.
