04 JBL Synthesis system --> Aftermarket DECK HELP!!

Ok i have an 04 4runner.
JBL systhesis 6 disc changer

I bought a single DIN deck
and the Kit.



IM confused, and i can install stereo's like nothing.

I bought this:

and the kit and wiring harness which looks like this:

How the hell do use the wiring harness?
Where do the RCA outputs from the harness go??

You need the aftermarket harness that goes inbetween the stock wire and the aftermarket head unit.

Connection goes like this
aftermarket HU --> aftermarket harness --> stock harness.

There are different harnesse for 10 speaker optional jbl system.

I have 10 speaker system and I used Metra TYTO-01 harness. Hope this helps!

This is just a wild guess since I don't know what any of the stock wiring looks like, but could the RCA's go to the pre-amp out of the head unit? If the stock JBL amp doesn't use RCA plugs, then that seems like a logical way to connect the head unit to the JBL amp.

You mean the RCA from the TYTO...oh...I hooked that up to my aftermarket RCA jack for left and right channels and stuff. You don't have to run any wires to the amplifier since the TYTO converts the signal to the stock harness which goes to the amp. TYTO-01 manual should tell you what goes where though. black(ground), Red(Acc. switch), Yellow(power), Left, right, and sub RCA jack I think. You may need to buy like another harness or RCA male to female converter thingamajig or something. I don't know its hard since I don't know what wires runs off of back of your HU.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

Only the TYTO-01 works.

The RCA converters went into the back oy my new radio deck and all speakers work.

Including my ipod!
