My friend, I have run into the same issue with my 06. I changed the HU and it really woke up the stock speakers. But I still want to change them. I want more dynamics and a cleaner sound stage overall. With that said, Crutchfield is a great source for you audio needs but I refuse to accept the fact that I can only replace my 6x9s with 6.5's and replace my rear 6.5 with 5.5's. This is because Crutchfeld does not make spacers that can house the same size speakers as the stocks. I was also steered to the Infinitys that you spoke about. I almost made the purchase but decided not to at the last minute. I have been reading these forums and gathering info. I have also been on ebay and found the proper bracket/spacers that fit the front and rear doors so I can replace the speakers with the same exact stock sizes. I also read in a few pages forward in this forum section from some one who mentions Tacotunes.com for proper replacement spacers. I want to speak with them personally before I buy them. Which is to say I havent bought the ones on Ebay yet. But no matter who I decide to purchase the spacers from, I am in the process of doing my homework as far as what speakers I am going to buy to replace the stock ones. So in a nutshell, there are replacement spacers out there so you can replace your 6x9s and 6.5's with the same size. I hope this helps.
