looks like they were draggin on a busy street?

ive heard that you can modify the supercharger to fit but none are made for 4th gens?
 
I liked the manual shifting engine noise:lmao: They're probably using the FJC if it's for the V6.
 
but look, the supercharger for the 4.0 is the same for both the fjc and tacoma, its only difference is the fit kit, but from the looks of those videos, if u chack out all his videos, u see a newer model of the 4runner with the super charger and it smoked othe other cars pretty good. someone gota have the money to do his and share with us all, guys like the ones above my post lol
 
I've always said that the TRD 'charger was possible on the 4Runner. Just have to get the fit kit to work (FJ Cruiser is the best solution) with some tweaking. Follow that up with a tune from APR, it should be a bada$$ combo.

Oh, I'm wanting one real bad now (like I didn't before!). Anyone willing to contribute to my supercharger fund? It's for a good cause!

I'm sure there is plenty of power to be had besides the headers. Finish up the exhaust. Upgraded pulley from URD, APR X-1 with the new cam gears, meth injection, flex-a-lite e-fan, NST Lightweight Pulley's. 'Bout all I can think of for now.

Last post was only a month ago, but just checking to see if any news has come about for a 4.0 v6 supercharger from TRD. Anyone have any idea what installation costs would be?
 
Nope, I think we're all still poor!

Stays in the back of my mind all the time. Whenever $5G's of I don't know what to do with burning a hole in my pocket cash comes up I will.

However, the wife looks to be picking up a 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokee tomorrow, and she's already buggin' for her speed freak mods!

I need another job...:dammit:
 
Supercharger for 4th Gen

Any updates?? I just joined, wondering if theres a chip or anything like that available say in the $1000 range? I'm going to get the intake and filter..but want a little more power!

So, isn't there ANYONE in Canada or the U.S. who's put a TRD supercharger on a 4Runner with a modified fit-kit so far? If it's just a fit-kit issue, what's up with TRD? Not enough '03-'09 4Runners out there? There seems to be enough "Skee-ons" (Scions) out there to justify this sort of effort.
 
I guess not! Does anyone have any insider info on the URD supercharger for the 4th 4R? There's a YouTube vid of a URD 6-speed FJ, and it sounds nice, but no 4Runner yet?
 
The URD kit is has been out for some time now for the 1GRFE 4runner but there are NO X1's so theres no way to tune it. I'm thinking about boost but I'm focusing on my foundations first (exhaust, fuel, trans, suspension, and brakes) if my N/A route doesn't cut it for me. The TRD unit will work but you have to tune it with out the TRD reflash for the bigger injectors. That is one of the best things about the X1 but since there is a supply issue with the X1 you'll have to find another ECU to tune the motor.

They only offer a kit for the Tacoma & FJ right now.

I have seen about 3 or more V6 4th gen 4Runners in youtube from Venezuela, guess they custom made a fit kit.
