06 daytime running lights

Random, but i have a 2006 4runner without daytime running lights. I think they look really good. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so they are always on....they look like parking the parking lights. Obviously i don't want my back lights on all day, but it seems like i should be able to do some wiring or something right? Any suggestions?

On my 05, I just leave the lights on all of the time, when I turn the vehicle off they stay on for about a minute and auto turn off. I guess I never realized the tail lights stay on as well.

Just go to the dealer and tell them that you want your DRL's turned on. I did just the opposite the other month and had them use their scan tool to turn mine off.

did they charge you for that? i want my turned off but do not want to pay

Do you have to pay to get them turned on? Can they do it right there or do you have to drop it off?

Yeah I paid for them to be turned off. It was something like $40 for it to be done, but I just can't stand DRL's. If I want my lights on I'll turn them on myself. Plus I wanted to remove the standard signal relay with and LED-type relay without possibly causing any issues so that's why I also went that route.

Getting the factory optioned DRL's turned off via the dealer is one thing. You must have the Relay box in place to turn them on though. You can buy this relay box or DRL ecu or whatever they call it for pretty cheap at an online toyota retailer, but I think you would have to goto the dealer to turn them on via the computer prgramming.
