06 led taillights

I have a 2004 but I was looking at putting 06 tail lights on it. I know the 06 are led has anyone tried this and will they work?

Plug and bolt right up, did the swap on my 05. Second mod after I did the cluster LED swap.

Awesome thanks guys. I worked for Toyota for years. Never had a 4Runner always wanted one. Now I work for dodge but I couldn't remember what was all interchangeable on the gen 4. Now that I finally got one.

the blacked out version would look really cool on a dark colored runner

My friend has a pair of something like these on his Dodge, and you can barely tell the running lights from the brake lights the brightness difference is so minimal. I HATE following him anywhere.

I'd also never go with anything that changed the amber color of the turn signal.

I agree, when you choose "form" over function, it's usually not a good idea.
