I have an 03 SR5 and I'm wanting the 06+ Projectors, what all do i need for that conversion? is it just the headlight assembly and the lower trim piece?

A true hid projector retrofit is about the same cost and have better performance.

Well, you have to be more specific. The grill will fit on the hood fine. You just won't be able to close the hood without cutting some notches in your bumper.

I looked into doing this and stopped about halfway through my research and just decided to put in new OEM headlights. The cost just seemed to get too high. The final straw was that the bumper trim piece (which comes pre-painted) didn't come in my color so I'd have to have that painted as well at a shop as well. I always do a write up when I do an upgrade so I have some of my data saved.
One thing that came to me after I gave up was instead of using the stock bumper trim, do a Satoshi (or billet) type mod to replace the bumper trim under the headlights like with the grills. I'd probably do both grill and the bumper trim and paint them black. It would be easy to fabricate the bumper trim with hand tools and still have it stock.
The other thing I was going to look at was the headlamp bulb retaining ring (black ring held in by three screws). While the tab restrictors are different between the years to accommodate the different bulbs, it may be possible to just swap the ring so you can use the bulbs designed for the wiring harness (or better yet, use HIR bulbs).
There are a couple of other threads discussing upgrading the headlights to 06+ including photos of the swap here and here.
It looks like you need three parts (not including bulbs) for each side; headlight, trim ring (optional if you leave the gap) and parking light wiring.

I did this mod. All I did was add the lights and trim piece. The gap in the hood is nothing noticeable IMO. I did 6000k hid for driving lights and fogs. This was the first mod I ever did to my truck and still a fav.

Just go to The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications and buy a retro-fit kit. I'm running the Mini Morimoto H1 kit and love it. I too was contemplating doing the '06+ headlight swap but I'm glad I did the retro. I now have bi-xenon headlights and no gap near the grill. Here's a pic before I blacked out the headlights and was doing a test. Total cost was around $280 for a full retro kit with projectors, shrouds, relay kit, ballasts, and HID bulbs. It's not hard to do at all, just takes a little time and patience.

Porsche cayenne turbo yeah not a chance in hell I would leave a gap but 05 4runner meh lol. Besides once grill got blacked out its even less noticeable

Bi-xenon meaning your original high-beams are empty/non-functioning?

i think he wired it up with the stock highs, so when the highs are on, he have both stock highs and the projector highs working together, the projector he using have both low and high function built in. there is a silenoid that gets power from the stock highs to trigger the flap in the projector. on my retro, its only low beams. this is the affect i get when i hit bumps and the cars in front of me see this color flicker effect. its like what you would see on a benz and bmw and range rovers. or other cars thats equip with a nice projector.

you can also modify the projectors to do this, i want to do it, but dont have the patience for it.
