I have a 2006 V8 Limited runner with 112K miles that was driving perfectly fine until yesterday morning after I got off work. I will attempt to start the vehicle and it would turn over then sputter for a few seconds and then the engine would stall. When it starts sputtering the CEL and the AT / Oil temp lights will flash a few times before it dies, but there aren't any codes to be read. I then attempted to give it some gas as it was sputtering and put the vehicle in gear at which point the problem vanished and it drove just fine. I drove it around the parking lot a bit then stopped and turned it off. Then when I tried to start it next zero ignition, I heard zero clicking. It really doesn't' appear to be the battery but I haven't gotten that tested yet and I'm probably ruling out a fuel pump problem because once it was in drive it was fine no issues what so ever. I'm going to have it taken to a mechanic in the morning but I always like to have a working theory before throwing money at something. Does anyone have any insight into what this might be?
