1.5" Lift Problems

Just curious. Is there a reason you don't want to set the Billies on the .85 perch?

The OME's were installed a month before and I didn't anticipate the Toytecs giving that much of a boost. It has been a reported possibility. Also that picture is shown unloaded, which the truck almost never is. I usually carry a couple hundred pounds of work gear back there all the time. Actually, if you think about it, I have just restored the factory rake 2" higher all around. Lol

It's a good thought Volley, but that would be the 3rd adjustment on those Bilstein cir-clips and I would be uncomfortable with knowing that. I may yet do it in the future, but if I do it will be with a new set in hand.

Hey guys, sorry it's taken me so long to get pics up. I've been super busy with life. Since this post I went from rear SuperFlex 2" Toy Tech springs in the back and front adjustable Bilstein 5100 shocks set at .88 inches (something like that). That gave me too much of a rake so I reduced the back to 1.5" Sway Away Coils and front adjustable coilovers by Boss. Here is a before and after picture however I don't have a pic of before I changed any of the suspension. Also I added 1.25" SpiderTrax Spacers and am posting pics of that. Hope this helps some of you out. Lastly, I know it's hard to see but there really is a great improvement in the rake. I think I parked in a slight shallow spot in the rear. It looks really good in person though and am very happy with it. The ride quality has also improved and yes there is now rubbing on the fenders from the spacers that I need to take care of.

Nice to see how my truck is going to look when I put Duratrac's on next summer! Although I only have about 1/4 inch of rake on mine, looks like you have more. Personally at low speed and highway speeds I feel like it is about as stable as Xreas, only mid speed do I notice some pickup in body roll, but I'm sure it's way better on your SR5.

Not sure exactly what my take is now. I need to go measure and do the math. However I made sure to level out the roof rack literally with a leve with the new adjustable coils. There may be no take left but if you look at how the vehicle was built from back window bottom line to front window you can see that there is a natural decent which I think looks great with zero (roughly) take.

The tires I'm running right now are 265/70/17 Duratracs if you were curious about their size. There is rubbing with the spacers now so I'll need to take care of that. With the new Boss Coils up front and Sways Aways in back I have practically zero body roll at low speeds and 80mph! Feels like a sport car when I take turns but still rides smooth with small bumps here and there (the kind that let you know you're in a 4X4 which I love!

PS. my truck in the pic I posted above is sitting in the slightest dip on the rear wheels. I was in a rush so I'll take better pics down the road.
