1" or 1.5" front only for leveling?

Il everything I have searched or read is related to front/rear lifts. All I want to do is just lift the front of my 4Runner a lil to get rid of the rake without it sitting to high up front. A lil forward rake is ok. So should I go 1" or 1.5" front and does anyone have pics of just the front lift. Brands? I seen redcreek has a 1.5" and looks like cornfed has 1.5" but can't find a 1". Anyone help me out here?

I ordered Bilstein 5100 front adjustable, will set @ 1.75 with 5100's rear and a cornfed 1" spacer rear today. After the All the PIC's I saw I knew this was the set up for me.

So the bilstein 5100 is just a adjustable shock correct? I pull the factory shock out and replace with the bilstein set to the height I want? I read there are 3 settings on them .85 1.75 and like 2.5 I believe. So I can set a bilstein at .85 and it should get some of the factory rake out. I'm not doing any rear lift just the front.

I just had this installed yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Great setup.

Great idea. Don't go higher than 0.85 in the front if you aren't lifting the back (unless you want that nose high look that some people do).

Definitely don't want the headlights shining in the trees. It's just my wife's 2wd 4Runner. I'm just wanting to get the front a lil more level with the back but not higher than the back. If it was 4wd I would lift it front and rear but I'm sticking with just a front to level. Ok well it sounds like I just need the bilstein 5100 set to .85. Thanks fellas!! I went and looked at it and seen how the shock with springs are set up. How hard is it to compress the springs? I have a spring compressor tool I used for ATVs but not sure if it'll work for these.
 
Bilsteins set at 1.75" front and no rear lift. Body was leveled, frame had a slight reverse rake.

Well I really didn't want to spend that much for bilstein a so I'm still thinking about just putting a spacer in. Like the cornfed 1" lift spacer.

I installed Bilstein 5100s all around and set the fronts at .85. It still has a little forwrd rake and an improved ride. They took a little of the brake dive out also.
I didn't put spacers on the rear because I didn't want to go any higher. Looks great.

it will still nose dive with spacers... the only thing thats going to minimize it is stiffer springs in front with a paired shock... that said the 5100s do dive less even with stock springs.

I hear ya. When I say nose dive I'm meaning the take not the vehicle nose diving on braking.

MMM ok..but remember if you end up putting anything in the rear your front up will stick up like a bro truck.. the stock rear is soft as shit.

That's a bit of exaggeration. First, you want 5100's on all 4 corners. The rears have no lift settings.

Yes, the rear springs are soft-ish, and if you load it good, yes it'll sag. I've had >900# of flagstone in mine three times, loaded evenly across the whole floor. Also had 300 lbs of tongue weight too (no night driving like this). Did it sag then? sure... but if that's going to be your thing, get air bags.

I have 0.85 Bilstiens up front and 5100 Bilsteins rear. With 4 passengers and baggage -- no sag. The rear Bilsteins helped off road control too.
