100000 maintenance

Just picked up a 2000 with 101000 on it,it was a dealer trade in,it is real clean,doesn't look to ever been abused,I ran a car fax and only a few oil changes were on it.I want to to get timing belt and waterpump changed,do a tranny flush,fuel filter,o2,oil,plugs,diff breather mod,coolent flush,diff fluids and grease,anything else you can think of besides lift and tire and armor
My main concern is do I switch to syn oil and do I just do the flush on the tranny or should I change the screen?

Go with synthetic motor oil.
I would just do a drain and fill depending on the color and small of the fluid.
Maybe run synthetic in diffs and x case (not tranny) if you get cold weather.

Lower ball joints. Check axle seals. Radiator.

I would definitely run Synthetic oil and also change the front and rear differentials to whatever full synthetic gear lube floats your boat.
and do a FULL ATF change to synthetic ATF, don't waste time on this changing out 3 qts out of 11 BS.

Take it to a T-Tech machine and change ALL the fluid, probably need a couple qts extra.
You can probably guarantee most of the same ATF from the factory is still in that trans, unless you have records stating otherwise I would just assume its never been changed.
and there is no reason to ever change the "Screen" it will most likely look like the day it was put in, if the screen is plugged up or looking anything less than brand new then you got bigger problems than changing the screen.

Will going to syn diff fluid lead to seal failure,have heard that.
I also need to flush coolent out because the red toyota coolent is not in it,shoud I use the tee kit?
I am thinking about using the Hayden t cooler instead of the b&m.

Nope, does not lead to any kind of seal failure.


If you are doing a water pump and timing belt, change the radiator fluid then because it will be completely drained anyway.
