10mm Front Lift Enhancer?

As most other owners here, I'm not a fan of the forward rake. The general consensus seems to be use Bilstein 5100s to level, but with less than 7000 miles on my truck, and only about 100 miles off road, I can't justify replacing the OEM shocks yet.

I'm leaning towards the 10mm Front Lift Enhancer Kit (http://wheelersoffroad.com/product/...7513/old-man-emu/poly-10mm-lift-enhancer-kit/) from Wheelers as a temporary solution before I dump a few hundred bucks into some real suspension upgrades in a year or two. My goal is to level the frame, not the fenders, so it seems as if the advertised 1/2-5/8" lift may do that.

I know this is a very subtle change, so I have a few questions:
1) Are there pics out there of anybody that has used this kit?
2) Will I need to get an alignment for such a small level? It doesn't seem like I'll be altering suspension geometry hardly at all.
3) In your opinion, is this tiny little mod worth my time, or would you just be patient and get the 5100s in a year or two?

The frame is level from the factory and actually most people like the rake because we use the 4Runner to haul stuff. What you read here is the vocal minority that does not like it.
 
@1engineer Having measured the frame to ground behind the front tire and in front of the rear tire, my frame definitely has a 3/8" forward rake when unloaded with a full tank of gas. I understand the hauling aspect, as I tow a 19' Sea Ray on weekends in the summer, but the forward lean is otherwise unappealing to me. Any helpful knowledge of guys who have used a little spacer like the one I mentioned to only level the front?

Get a daystar spacer lift. 1.5 in the front and you will be good to go.
 
Not really much to consider here. I haven't used one, but it will give you a 20mm ride height change (it's ~ 2:1 ratio). It will change your caster angle by ~ -0.4*. Your camber will remain about the same. Your front track width will narrow by about 2mm. Your headlights will shine about 0.4* higher. Mileage will go down by some amount due to more air flowing underneath where there's more resistance. In the end you probably won't notice anything different other than a slight ride height change in the front.
 
I'm running a 2" leveling spacer up front for the time being. Personally I don't care for the look of the stock rake, and my budget doesn't allow for something less "gay" lol. Didn't noticed much change in driving characteristics behind the wheel. I'd say an alignment is mandatory after most suspension modifications. Just my 2 cents.

I went this route on my 4th gen and I didn't like the way it rode. The daystar spacer IIRC is 1.25" thick, netting more like 2" of lift which is way too much for my intention.

Wait and get the 5100's on all four, its worth the wait.
 
Not clear if you are installing yourself. Unless you are doing the work, it can get costly to install this type of spacer lift for short term use ( is one year short term?). Shock/spring assembly has to be removed and disassembled to install the longer studs and spacer. Dunno if you already know this fact. You could also install the Toytec TP14 spacers for less lift, but only the shock/spring assembly would need to be lowered, no new studs. Just an idea. And only slightly gay.

I would do the install myself. From what I've read, it's almost identical to the process I did on my 4th gen. Wrenching is something I actually enjoy, so maybe that makes it slightly less gay.

You may be the voice of reason. No reason to do an install twice I guess.
