I have heard the newest version of Scan-gauge allows for speedo correction also, I may be wrong though. Think Riceandpho mentioned that to me

Let us know how your mpg looks after a few tanks. I need to check my psi this weekend as my tires seem to lose a few psi every month or so. This set of BFG's seem to seep some. More so than others I have run in the past.

A key component of getting accurate scanguage results is an accurate vehicle speed. You have to calibrate it to the speed you're actually going, or you'll get results that are skewed. There's a screen in the scangauge that allows you to do this, but it doesn't actually change your speedometer.
