I have a 2014 4Runner LE with the factory running boards. Part Number: PT925-89110
They look very nice, but with the factory rocker molding these running boards do not stick out far enough for a person to place their foot on it properly without rubbing this rocker molding. I found this out when I saw my mother in law try to get in and her foot slipped and chipped the paint on the molding. I'm sure others have had this problem. It's clearly a design flaw or overlook. The dealers says it's in the right place, and that's just how it's designed. I know there is another way to extend them. Has anyone else had this issue and found a replacement bracket setup that will allow the boards to stick out further?
