Here are my thoughts on this. Worth 1 cent really. There are probably good reasons for this, but is 15 too many?

As a BUYER, I came in here to ask questions, as I learned this is the best resource. I have/had so many questions many of which i had not found in a search or were specific to the vehicle in consideration. The issue is if you have buyer's questions, this forum is useless given this restriction - so I found myself going over to Reddit's 4runner forum which is great too.

My point is as reddit grows (where you can upvote and downvote idiotic posts), it will suck users from here (although I am sure there are plenty to draw from) - at least those who want a quick answer to something. SO maybe the 15 post rule is too high and it might be X?

Just a thought!

I have been watch stupid videos with the worst acting..

I have read some about 5th "D" and 4th ... what is the reference of 4th... is that to allow it to shift on it's own standard gear?? Or my 4H 4L knob?

Congrats on reaching your 15th post! BTW This forum is gender neutral - mentioning you are female twice wont help much, and in fact on the interwebs that pretty much means we assume you are a guy. ;-) haha.

As for this post above I have no idea what you are talking about. As for 4L and 4H, there are very specific rules in regards to using them, and you can do serious damage to your vehicle if you don't learn when and where they are used.

I'm not sure what the question is.

I assume you have a hitch on your 4Runner. Just drive to your local U-Haul and ask them what you need - but if you haven't towed anything before then it may a very daunting trip - especially if you've never backed up a trailer.

No need to worry about 4L or 4H - you'll be in 2wd the whole trip. If you happen to go somewhere on your first tow where you need 4WD then you will have some major issues.

If you know someone with a trailer and practice backing up to get the theory down pat.
