Have a stock TRD Pro and was just wondering if anyone knew of the tires rubbing against the mug guards when in full wheel lock. Even sometimes backing up to parking spots slowly, I can hear it rubbing a bit. I tried searching on here and a bunch of the posts were in reference to spidertraxx spacers or getting bigger wheels/tires for trimming. Just wondering if anyone has experienced or knows about this for a completely stock TRD Pro. Thanks in advance!

If it's completely stock, then No. You should not rub at all.

If it's coming from the front end, it's rubbing on the front bumper cover. These were supposed to be trimmed at the port, but the first batches that went through (including mine) did not get trimmed.
Mine arrived early October 2014 and it was before they started trimming the front -- mine sometimes rubs at full lock in reverse only.
If you search using some keywords like "Trd pro trim rub" you'll see a lot of hits. There should also be a TSB for dealers to reference TSB 0009-15: 4Runner: TRD Pro Bumper/Fender interference.

Mine doesn't rub at all, ever. I am constantly going to full lock on both sides as well and nada. I would have someone sit in it and take it to full lock on both sides, mark the area that is rubbing with a pen or something and then use a heat gun to reshape it out of the way. Good luck......

Saw you had spidertrax spacers in your sig. I did buy this used and noticed the previous owner did some light mods to it (front grill LED bar, plastidipped badges) but am unsure if he did install some spacers. Was doing some googling for stock T4R fronts and compared to my stance, mine does seem a bit wider. Also found a reddit post with someone who installed spidertrax and the stance looked similar to mine.

If they are spidertrax, you should be able to see them rather easy, they are cobalt blue. It does look like you have a spacer for sure and that the person next to your truck can fit their POS in a parking space correctly. Did they leave you a can opener so you could get out?

Did you end up taking off your front mud flaps? or did you mod them?
I took them off and heated them up with a heat gun and reformed the area that was rubbing. Though, since adding the lift spacers to the front it would not have been necessary now.

Not necessarily all Spydertrax are Cobalt blue. I have one pair in blue and one pair in black. From 2 different sales. When they are cheaper than new and were never used you don't nitpick.

Good to know, I just ordered mine recently so my bad on assuming they were all blue.
