150K Tuneup Questions

I have a 99 4Runner 4WD Limited. I bought this 4Runner @ 82K miles. It had the timing belt changed at 60K miles. I have done nothing to it except change oil, and it now has 145k miles.

I would like to do a full tune up (it has started missing a bit every now and then). Can anyone recommend the things I need to do. I will do most things like change plugs/wires, etc, and will have the timing belt and water pump changed by a professional.

I am just looking for some sort of list I can start doing and check off.

Also, anyone know a great Toyota mechanic in the Raleigh, NC area?

ALL fluids: Differentials, xfer, tranny, coolant, check steering fluid/brake fluid.

Clean throttle body/MAF sensor. Lube all Zerk fitting underneath. Check, clean or replace PVC valve. Check catalytic converter muffler for rust through spots.

Change air/fuel filter. How are your shocks/springs? Check rear bearings/axle seals. When were your rear wheel cylinders changed last, if ever? You can do without some of these, but i just started listing the things I have addressed since i turned 160K this summer.

P.S. I have a 2000 SR5 Runner w/ 169K and only 'major' thing so far has been the timing belt/water pump.

It doesnt go up past 100k but it gives an idea of the intervals for each item and you can work it out from there.

I'm in the same boat, w/150k on my '96. I've been dreading it but what are you to do.

Check your brake and transmission lines for corrsion and rust

And if you have rear heat check your lines running to your heater core, im replacing my at 146k since i was messing around by them and they decided to break open from the rust. oh yeah they are $97...not bad.
