16" wheels on runner with 15" from the factory?

Anyone have experience putting 16" wheels on a V6 5 speed (4x4) that came from the factory with 15"? Guessing this would have the 3.9 differential, so wondering what the power would be like with bigger wheels.

You can confirm the diff a couple of ways - easiest is to check the VIN if you know that the diff hasn't been out of the truck.

Either way, it doesn't matter what size the wheels are. Tires are the issue. The only issue with the wheels is clearing brake parts and since you are going from smaller to larger, you should be fine.

I did it on my 97 V6. Didn't notice much difference in power. Granted I'm supercharged but still.

It's one that's for sale, but not exactly what I want- no e-locker and the 15" wheels. The price is really good though, so I figure I ought to at least consider it. I like the lower gearing in the 5 speed I've already got versus our auto. If I bought it I'd definitely want to eventually upgrade to 16" for the Tundra brakes, but not if that would make it too much of a dog.
