Hey all,
I may have jumped the gun ordering my new tires/wheels on Wednesday. On discount tire direct, I saw the MB Gunner 6 17" wheels as an option for the 06 LTD and paired those with some 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers.
According to amazon, and surprising that DTD didnt have the specs, these wheels are 17x8 with a 25mm offset.
I used this link for comparing to stock:

I put in 265/70, 17x8 with a 25mm offset for the new wheels/tires and for existing i put 265/65 18x7.5 with a 30mm offset (I got larger tires and I think the width and offset are correct from searching the forum).
With that, the calculator said i would be 7mm (0.3") closer to the suspension parts and will stick out 33mm (1.3") further.
Does this sound correct? If so, it sounds like I'm going to need to lift the truck to fit these wheels/tires, is that true also? I may end up doing this as I have my FJ TT suspension and 1/4 toy-tec spacers waiting to install but was also planning on just running the stock suspension a little longer.
Should I just go ahead and install the lift at the same time that I replace the tires/wheels? I've been pretty nervous about doing so and am a little hesitant about doing too much change at once and then running into a problem I can't troubleshoot correctly because of it.
Any thoughts?
