17" wheels from 2016 4Runner

So, I have a friend of mine who just put new tires and wheels on her 2016 4Runner.
She offered to sell me the takeoff wheels and tires with about 12k miles on them for $100 total.....

My question is what are the pros and cons of 17" wheels and will they fit over my 231 Tundra brakes?


For $100 I'm thinking its a pretty sweet deal and if it doesn't work out I'll just let them go for what I paid for them to someone on CL.

Thoughts??

Worst case, you can put a spacer on the front to fit over the brakes. They should bolt right on though...

That's a great deal. They should fit just fine. The 231mms need 16" wheels minimum, or spacers, as already mentioned. 17" will fit fine

I love mine! Yes they I believe they will fit over your tundra brakes, and for $100 is a good price.

5th gen 338mm diameter, your 231 should clear

Thanks for the input. I was all but going to do it as long as no one said "No don't do it that's stupid because of XYZ/valid reasons."

And yea, $100 is a good price I think. When she first told me she didn't want them I figured she'd ask quite a bit for them, but she said $100 and I jumped right on it. Figured if they don't fit I'll just sell them.
