17inch 4th gen rims with 231mm

does anyone have a picture of the 4th gen 4runner 17s that r the same as the 17s on the tacoma with the 231mm brake upgrade and is there enough room to run these rims with out a spacer and maybe a few pics if you can

clearance of the big breaks isn't dependent on backspacing , it's the inner diameter, though if you push the backspacing out far enough you could clear the brakes and possibly drive into mexico with out stopping at the border....but from what i can tell , you should be fine if the 231's clear most 16 inch rims they should clear 17's no problem regardless of backspacing.

that said i think the big break upgrade thread has lots of people posting what rims they clear and which ones they do not, which reminds me i need to go and add my rims to the list of clearable ones!!! woot woot!

err? I don't think that's what he's asking.

If you have a 16" wheel or larger you will clear the caliper and rotors with the "barrel" of the wheel.

Typically people are having challenges with wheel fitment based on the front face of the caliper contacting the rear of the wheel spokes. Hence the spacer fix.

Judging by those wheels, I would guess you would not have issues with the 231mm brakes.
