18" Limited wheels in black, pics anyone?

Hey guys,

Debating plasti-dipping or painting my stock 18" limited wheels black. My 4runner is black already and i dont want it to be too much you know? Maybe a gun metal grey would look nice on a black car.

Cant find much on google images, has anyone here painted their limited wheels and have a pic to offer up?

Never really took pics, but here's one I managed to save. I liked it, and it was real easy to do. Just make sure to put enough coats on or you're going have a hard time removing the dip.

I used VHT wheel paint to paint mine Gunmetal. You can look at my pics and get a idea of what that might look like

just like [MENTION=127820]LOBO79[/MENTION] I started the dipping then painting a few years back. As a matter of fact had that discussion today with a guy at the gas station who liked my color. I have dipped and painted over the dip 3 times and every time it stays until I have to remove with an at home pressure washer. Which means it stays really well.

full can of dip per wheel, let dry then half a can of paint

Yea I think that does look pretty nice, I think i may go that direction since my vehicle is mostly black already, need some accent.

That's an interesting idea, hadn't thought of doing a double layer like that yet.

Everything there is a sport or aftermarket wheel for the most part or older style limited. Looking for specific model. Thanks tho..

I did my spare in black pasti dip as a test. It was all chipped up and gouged from being mounted facing down but the plasti dip filled it in very well.

After I decide what tires I'm going with I'm going to go black or grey... Still haven't decided.

yea I decided on gunmetal/graphite color today. Spraying tomorrow.

Plasti dip and spray paint, this coating has been on for 27k miles. Ever since I put the dura's on!
